The Sea Master (a mythological personage of Eskimo folklore, an owner
of the sea treasures who regulates the sea hunting) is very gluttonous.
Twice a year he rises to the surface of the sea as smooth as an uglacs
(womens knife) edge.
The Lady Creator of the Universe - the original mother of all living
creatures - gives him his usual share of animal sea food.
This important process must not be broken. Nobody can even witness
this wonderful meal of the Sea Master. It is a sacred moment - to
break it would mean to turn back time.
The one who would dare to become an accidental witness of it would
be turned to stone, to a lonely rock washed by the cool waves of the
Ocean.
